Frequently asked questions
Do prices include VAT?
No. Prices exclude VAT, which is calculated and added at checkout based on your location. Use the «Incl. VAT» switch to see an estimate with 23% VAT (mainland Portugal); EU businesses with a valid VAT number may be exempt (reverse charge).
Who processes the payment?
Payments are processed by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record for all orders: it handles payment, invoicing and tax. We never store card details.
Do I need a card to start?
No. Every new account gets 14 days of the Pro plan without a card. You only enter payment details if you decide to subscribe.
What happens after the 14 days?
If you don't subscribe, the account moves to the Free plan. Nothing is deleted: records above the Free limits stay stored and can be used again when you upgrade.
Can I change or cancel my plan?
Yes, at any time, from the billing settings in the app. If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. There's a 30-day money-back guarantee, set out in the app's refund policy.
How does annual billing work?
Annual costs 10 monthly payments — 2 months free. The same rule applies to all add-ons.
What is Farol Academy and how is the limit counted?
It's the add-on for selling training to external people: a public course catalogue, enrolment without an account, a waitlist, sessions with trainer and room, attendance, private materials and A4 certificates verifiable by QR code. (HR Training, in turn, is for your team.) The price is per organisation, based on confirmed enrolments in the last 12 months: up to 600 (€39/month), up to 3,600 (€69/month) or up to 12,000 (€119/month); beyond that, custom pricing. If you go over the limit, we let you know and suggest moving up a band — no enrolment is ever refused. Prices exclude VAT; learners pay by bank transfer directly to your organisation and Farol does not issue invoices.
What happens if I run out of SMS included in my plan?
You can purchase SMS top-up packs directly in the app at any time, with no commitment: 100 SMS for €6, 500 SMS for €25, and 2,000 SMS for €80. Top-up credits never expire and add to your monthly plan quota.
How do I move my data from another system?
With assisted import: upload your file, preview what will be created with duplicates flagged, and only then confirm. An import can be undone.
Are there commissions on online bookings?
No. You pay for the plan and nothing else — we take no percentage of your bookings or your clients' payments.
