A tutor and a student side by side, smiling over an open notebook

Tutoring and study centres

Timetables by student, tutor and room, reminders that go to the parent for students under 18, and a portal where parents follow the lessons.

Everyday reality

At a tutoring centre, the timetable doesn't depend only on the student: it depends on the parents, the school and test season.

  1. 01 · Today

The student didn't come and nobody at home knew

The maths lesson moved to Thursday because of a test. The student forgot to tell anyone at home, nobody picked them up in time and the tutor waited an hour.

Late afternoon with three tutors and two rooms

Between 5pm and 8pm everyone wants a lesson. The big room was booked twice, the exam group had nowhere to go and someone taught at reception.

    With Farol

Rooms with a capacity, each lesson with its room and its tutor, and the occupancy of every room on the dashboard, so you can see where there's still space in the evening.

Parents keep asking the same things by text

When's the next lesson? Did he go on Tuesday? The questions land on the tutor's phone at any hour, mixed up with everyone else's.

    With Farol

A client portal where the parent sees their child's upcoming and past lessons and asks for changes, which your team approves.

Not enough slots in May, too many in August

In exam season everyone wants extra lessons and in summer the centre is empty. Without numbers, it's hard to decide when to hire another tutor or open another group.

    With Farol

Occupancy per tutor and peak hours on the management dashboard, so you plan exam season with your own centre's history.

Features

From the parents' first enquiry to the last lesson before the national exam.

One-to-one and group lessons

Lessons for one or small groups, with a capacity, a tutor and a room on the same booking. Every student has their own attendance recorded.

Recurring weekly lessons

Maths every Tuesday at 6pm until June: book the series in one go and skip the school holidays.

Reminders for whoever brings the student

For students under 18, the SMS goes to the parent's phone.

A portal for parents

Parents see their child's lessons and ask for changes (paid plans).

Records with family contacts

Parent or guardian and family links on the student's record, visible to those with permission.

Children's data and the GDPR

Children's and teenagers' data deserves extra care. On Farol, a minor's record has a parent or guardian section, access is role-based and changes are logged in the audit trail, in a database hosted in the European Union.

The permissions your centre uses, such as image use, can be written by you and sent for remote signature, with a one-time code and the signed PDF kept on the record.

Questions

Do parents receive the reminders?

They get the SMS when the student is under 18 and SMS is included in your plan. Email reminders go to the email on the student's record.

Can parents see their child's lessons?

Yes, in the client portal on paid plans: they see upcoming and past lessons and ask for changes, which your team approves.

Can I sell lesson packs?

Not yet: there are no packs with a lesson balance. Lessons sit in the diary and on the student's record, and payment is still handled separately.
