Owners' data and the GDPR
The record belongs to the owner, a person: name, contacts and tax number are personal data protected by the GDPR. On Farol they have role-based access, an audit trail and a database hosted in the European Union.
Farol organises the clinic's diary, contacts and documents. It doesn't replace the records the law requires of veterinary practices, such as electronic animal identification, or veterinary prescriptions.

Does each animal have its own record?
Not yet. Today the record belongs to the owner: each animal's name and microchip number can go in custom fields on the record, visible to administrators, and in the notes of each consultation.
Can owners book online?
Yes, for the services, vets and times you choose. Surgery and tests can stay bookable by your team only.
Can I fit in emergencies?
Yes. Your team can book at any time in the diary, including outside the hours you've opened to online booking.
